EARLY LIFE
Moon was born in Busan, a metropolitan center that is recognized by the beaches, mountains and temples. Her mother Hyebin had her after an affair with an American soldier and that was the reason why she moved to Seoul with her daughter, to find her baby’s father.
She studied at Baemyung High School where she met her sunbae-nim Park Jinyoung, two years older. They dated for a year and half and both were each other’s first love. That was before Hyebin decided to move to the United States, causing the couple to break up.
UNITED STATES
Her mother decided to move to Florida after finding out that Moon’s father was born and raised over there. Moon didn’t support her, pointing up that he left both of them and that they would be changing their lives because of a non-existing possibility. The relationship with her mother was aggravated by the situation, especially when Hyebin didn’t gave a damn about her daughter and spent every single day looking for the man.
She met Alexander Valentini in high school, falling in love too fast to even realize, lacking affection from someone. He seemed perfect. Moon and Alex were dating but the girl kept contact with Jinyoung, that became her best friend after being lovers. Park Jinyoung used to help her a lot with every concern she ever had and they share a deep respect for each other. He even helped her pay half of her college tuition at USCB, where she graduated in Chemistry.
MARRIAGE & KIDS
After getting pregnant, Alex suggested that they could move to South Carolina, to the small city of Beaufort where they would have more peace to raise the baby. Moon didn’t want another change in her life, causing an ugly argument between the couple, which only ended when they agreed to get married at her request. She gave birth to her first born Liam at age 20 and got married with 21.
Honestly, she didn’t wanted to have any more children at that point in her life since she was in college and Alex and her weren’t having the best moment after the wedding, specially after finding out she was pregnant again with another boy later named Ethan.
A year later, Moon and her husband left their kids with Alex’s parents and went on a date, trying to start over with their relationship. A couple of drinks and weeks later, they were pregnant once again. Moon said that it was the last time she was going through pregnancy after discovering her baby would be a girl, choosing the name Naya for the unborn child. In another ultrasound the couple found out that they were having twin girls. It was another period of intense fights in the family because it was only two against four babies: Liam (2yo), Ethan(1yo) and the newborn twins. Alexander’s parents, Giuseppe and Rosa Valentini helped to raise the kids. Moon was very scared by the time she gave birth to the girls and she talked a lot with Jinyoung who later became Naya and Alexa’s godfather.
Even so, she ended up giving birth to Devyn five years later.
CAREER
Calm surfaced at least in front of the children. Alex and Moon still had some private discussions when the woman talked about opening her own cosmetics store and her own line while reselling some Mary Kay products. She was even promoted twice and opened her first store still in Beaufort, supported by her parents-in-law.
She wanted to move to LA to grow her business, moving with her five children to the city despite her husband’s protests. He eventually joined the family later. Her business was going very well and soon she had two big stores in Los Angeles.
Moon finally founded her own industry in 2005 with a lot of investors and partnerships achieved with her convincing speech ability.
MOON COSMETICS

Founded in 2005, the brand started its sales with environmentally friendly scents and handcrafted cosmetics, such as body creams and soaps made by the company’s own owner, Kwon Moon.
Currently, Moon Cosmetics works with various beauty products, still has its craft line and a new makeup line, expanding to four stores in Los Angeles, two in New York, one in Seoul and also the online store, generating over 10,000 jobs.
ADOPTION
Moon always loved children but it wasn’t her will to pass through pregnancy four times. With her career going up and the kids happy with their new friends in Los Angeles, she convinced Alex into adoption. In 2006, they became Autumn’s legal parents
In 2010, at age 37, the couple adopted a little boy named Joseph and on the same year, her brother-in-law Matteo died in a car accident. He was with his triplets in the vehicle. Sophia, the youngest one, died in ICU while both boys were left without parents, since the children’s mother had divorced Matteo years earlier and made a deal that she no longer wanted to have contact with the kids. Moon received Max and Graham with open arms.
RELATIONSHIP WITH HER CHILDREN
Despite being very busy with her work, she always made time to a present mother. When she was at home, she made a point of talking and spending time with her kids, being very open and encouraging them in their studies and dreams.
It wasn’t a surprise when her second son Ethan introduced his first boyfriend to her. She was extremely proud of him. When he explained that he didn’t identify with any gender, Moon embraced and assured him that she would face the world with him. She claims that she learned a lot from him about acceptance.
Naya was already in South Korea when Moon received her text, where the girl confessed that she was meeting another girl and that she’s bisexual. Graham, although not her biological child, he also received a lot of support from her when he found himself as homosexual.
The biggest shock of the family was when Joseph refused to be a boy: he wanted long hair, painted nails and makeup, not that any of these things define a gender, but he wanted to be called a girl. He asked his family to call him Olivia and they all gladly did, but had to go through counseling. Her youngest kid was bullied in school to the point that Olivia wanted to kill herself, having depression at a very young age. In 2021, the family was able to legally change her name to Olivia as her wish.
